In 1961 appeared “Obras completas”, inappropriate title because it includes only part of Manuel Rojas’ work. Later on, Rojas edited “Obras escogidas” published in two volumes, wherein he adds to the previous content his novel “Sombras contra el muro”, and his travel book “Pasé por México un día”.

Rojas actively participated in the selection of the writings that were included in these compilations, which contain the latest version of his most significant works, revised and corrected by himself. Finally, was published –in a finest volume– the compilation “Obras”. This edition appears in 1973, shortly after Rojas’ demise. It includes an extensive foreword by Jorge Campos, a Spanish writer.
